First Work Bee for the Soup Kitchen Community Garden (Jun 3, 2005)The weather finally warmed up enough for the Gardening Crew to get down to business! We are growing cucumbers, pumpkins, onions, and other fresh salad fixings for the soup kitchen. Our team consists of Gary, Kathryn,Matthew, Spencer, Nicholas Wegener, Heather MacKay, Mike Thompson, Mike Redmond, Dan Harman, Marcel, Kayla Gagnon, Pam Wardell, Kyle Ingram, Mitch LaFramboise, Cory Massicotte and Alyson Scott. They are neighbours of Third Line, staff of the mill, and students from Sir James Dunn, Korah Collegiate, and White Pines.We got together on June 2nd to assemble the Soup Kitchen Garden. Many thanks to Lemieux Composting for donating the composted loam, to Clean North for the Water Barrels, Suzanne Hanna @ The Horticultural Society, Shelley Pascal @The Red Cross Community Garden, Anna Cavaliere @Country Depot.
